Tropical Greeting Cards

This project was inspired by a trip to Florida to see my Grandma in her last days. While we visited, she napped a lot, and I wandered the nursing home’s grounds taking pictures and sketching the greenery. I borrowed from the shapes and colors of the area’s tropical influences, even from my Grandma’s shirts. On the plane ride home, I expanded upon my sketches.

The illustrations were digitized when I returned home and turned into patterns and greeting cards. The cards are graciously printed and on sale at The Bremerton Letterpress Company.
